One couple enjoyed 11 great years of marriage. They were blessed with a baby boy with whom they played every day, enjoying the time together.

When the boy was two years old, one morning, the husband saw an opened medicine bottle in the bathroom. It didn’t have a cap on it. Because he was late for work, he told his wife to close the bottle and put it somewhere the boy cannot reach. At that moment she was preparing breakfast so she totally forgot to do that. In the meantime, the boy saw it and took it, drinking all of the pills.

The medicine was too strong for a small child, so the boy collapsed in a very short time. The mother brought him quickly to the hospital, but the doctors could not save him as he was too much intoxicated. So the boy died poisoned by the pills.

The husband couldn’t stop crying at the hospital. He told the mother that he loves her which was a pretty unexpected response from a father who has just lost a child. Most parents would blame the other partner for allowing such a thing to happen. But, this father knew there is nothing that could help him bring the child back. So, there was no point blaming anyone.

The mother was heartbroken because she lost a child too. She needed comfort and sympathy, not someone to blame her. The father could put the bottle out of reach, and none of that would have happened. So, he forgave his wife and held her even closer.
